Hook: Size #14 or #16 nymph hook. TMC 3761 BL

Thread: UNI-Thread Rust Brown 8/0

Weight: .015 lead on hook shank, approximately 8 wraps, on size #14 hooks. Use .010 on size #16 hooks.

Tail: Pearl Crystal Flash, “V” shape, short

Ribbing: Small silver wire.

Body: Hareline Dark Hare’s Ear Plus Dubbin, HET2. Dub a shaggy body to the hook eye.

This is a quick and easy fly that represents a scud or a sow bug. Dead drift down stream and swing fly. Excellent pattern on the White or Norfork. Great fly below Bull Shoals Dam. I had my best day ever below Norfork Dam using this fly; catching a 12 inch nice brookie and many nice browns!
